Traveling on a budget
- Two tips: Look for non-hotel alternatives. If you can rent a room (or even a little cottage) for a week, it can save a lot of money. The internet makes it pretty easy to find hotel alternatives. Second, plan to "picnic" for breakfast and lunch -- or at least lunch. Get coffee to go and buy a yogurt and a banana. For lunch, buy a baguette and some cheese. With the money you save on breakfast and lunch, you can afford to spend a little more on dinner.
