If you're planning a destination wedding, what is the type of gown you hope to wear? Or if you already have a dress, what does it look like? Describe Your Gown
My destination wedding gown
- I'm getting married in the Adirondacks and so the idea of a destination wedding gown is kind of funny. Do they make wedding gowns in red & black plaid, like a lumberman's shirt? Or maybe I could just wear a pair of hiking boots under my dress? But seriously, even though it's in the mountains, I opted for a traditional dress -- traditional in the sense that it's a classic wedding dress, but I feel just beautiful in it. It's an ivory dress with a cut lace bodice over taupe. So in one sense, it is a destination gown because it has a slightly old-fashioned feel to it. And in keeping with the setting (spring), the accents are lilac, and we're planning to cut big baskets of lilacs to place in the hall.
