Some couples who marry on a cruise ship invite guests to come aboard just for the wedding and disembark before the ship sails. Or they may ask them to meet up in port, just to witness the ceremony.

Other couples extend an invitation to guests to sail along with them (guests are expected to pay their own cruise fare).

Whether a couple travels en famille or alone, the sweetest part of a wedding often takes part right afterwards. That's when a couple get to leave everyone else behind, put out the "do not disturb" sign, shut the door to their cabin, and start the honeymoon.

Keep in mind that cruise prices vary, depending on the length of the cruise, the cruise line you sail, and the level of cabin that you select.

While you can save a lot of money by opting for an inside cabin, you'll miss out on the pleasure of having a private balcony. There the two of you can relax after the wedding by yourselves, watch the world drift by, and plan the next phase of your life together.
