A ship wedding can be a turnkey or a customized affair, depending on whether you opt for the elements in a standard onboard wedding package or designate add-ons and substitutions and choose an exotic portside venue. Obviously, the more complex the affair, the more expensive it will be.

If you plan to marry onboard, you can follow it with a catered reception. Depending on the time of day and whether or not guests are sailing with you, onboard choices range from a champagne buffet brunch to a multi-course, sitdown meal to cocktails and wedding cake.

Elements than can add panache (as well as cost) to a cruise ship wedding include:

  • Elaborate bouquets and custom decorations
  • Photo packages
  • Live music
  • Videography and webcams
  • Tuxedo rentals
As long as a couple's desire is within the realm of possibility and they can afford to pay the freight, they are only limited by their imagination as to what a cruise ship destination wedding can entail.
