Additional delights can include hand-painted wine or champagne glasses, afternoon tea for two, a special cake, house-made truffles, and Vermont cheese platters.
There's also a Culinary Package, which features a chef's tasting menu dinner with wine pairing, a garden tour with the chef, and one pound of the Inn’s homemade granola to go.
Oenophiles will want to visit during one of the Wine Dinners (the Inn earned Wine Spectator magazine Awards of Excellence). During these evenings, which take place every four to six weeks, a wine region or specific winery is featured. There is also a package that works in harmony with the annual summer Marlboro Music Festival.
And on New Year’s Eve there’s a tradition that accompanies the toasts and resolutions: Rebecca Hall, a local folksinger of some reknown, entertains.
