The snorkel boat at Club Med Turkoise departs twice a day (no charge) to different locations and provides equipment. Water temperatures are generally in the low 80s.

For some, snorkeling and scuba diving is a bittersweet experience as they observe the visibly deteriorating coral reef. While rays and turtles are easy to spot, there's usually neither an abundance nor a great variety of fish to be seen on most trips.

Some visitors recommend snorkeling at Coral Gardens; a sunken freighter is among its underwater attractions.

Scuba divers wake up early to make the 8 am dive boat, a large catamaran with a snack bar and dive doctor on board. There is a fee for scuba diving which includes most equipment. Wet suits are additional but due to the warmth of the waters, many divers forgo wearing one.

JoJo, an Atlantic bottle-nosed dolphin who has lived in the water near Grace Bay for 20 years, was declared a National Treasure a few years back. For fun, JoJo likes to follow the boat to where it anchors for snorkeling.
