Nikki Beach Resort Turks & Caicos in a Nutshell:

A sexy resort with 51 oversized rooms on a secluded beach before a calm section of the sea, Nikki Beach Resort provides jet-setting guests with a chic and relaxing place to unwind by day and party past bedtime. Enormous white day beds with gigantic white pillows, placed throughout the public spaces, add to the allure. The infinity pool is so blue it blends seamlessly into the water. The staff is friendly and warm. And if you need a break from the action, there are hammocks for hiding away.

Guest Rooms at Nikki Beach Resort Turks & Caicos:

Imagine South Beach meets the Caribbean. There are 30 suites and 16 rooms, all decorated in muted tones and with sleek furnishings. Suites have Eurostyle kitchens, dining room tables, washer-dryers, HDTV’s and refrigerators stocked with Veuve Clicquot and assorted cheeses (remember this is your minibar, so beware!). Oversized bathrooms contain granite counters and Bulgari bath amenities. All rooms boast spacious balconies with tables, adjustable lounge chairs, and breathtaking water views. Wi-fi is free. Best of all are the Simmons Black Edition mattresses especially designed for the resort.

Dining at Nikki Beach Resort Turks & Caicos:

Nikki Café, an indoor-outdoor restaurant, is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Popular dishes: Nikki chicken satay, the 14-ounce rib-eye steak with creamy cognac sauce, and grilled lobster bought fresh daily from local fishermen. (The lobster’s scrumptious crab meat stuffing is the only recipe the chef won’t reveal.) Burgers and wood-fired-oven pizzas are available from the bar menu. Lunch can be served poolside or at the beach. The hotel motivates late sleepers with its eye-popping Sunday brunch featuring all-you-can-eat sushi, a pasta station, prime rib carvery, salads, and unlimited mimosas.

Destination Weddings at Nikki Beach Resort Turks & Caicos:

An on-site wedding coordinator will closely work with a couple to customize their big day. The property can accommodate 100 guests. Nuptials may be held in an overwater wedding gazebo, on the beach, or atop the sprawling fifth-floor rooftop penthouse, which has magnificent island views.

Honeymoons at Nikki Beach Resort Turks & Caicos:

Honeymoon packages include in-room couples spa treatments; a five-course champagne dinner in a cabana; limousine airport transfers (with Cristal champagne); yoga and salsa lessons or a personal trainer; jet skiing; privately chartered boat excursions; champagne tastings; and breakfast on your terrace.

Nearby Nikki Beach Resort Turks & Caicos:

Grace Bay Beach is a five-minute cab ride from the resort. With its white, talcum-powdery sand and sparkling blue water, it’s considered one of the Caribbean’s best beaches. Stretching for 12 miles, it’s a beachwalker’s paradise. Yet, because it’s lined with hotels that attract families, Grace Bay Beach doesn’t have the secluded feel of the Nikki Beach property. Another island treasure is Da Conch Shack, an outdoor beachside eatery specializing in conch fritters and rum punch.

What Could Be Better at Nikki Beach Turks & Caicos?:

When this writer visited in December 2008, she found some amenities lacking at the resort, which had opened in April of that year. There was only a medium-sized fitness center and pool, but no Jacuzzi, spa, or tennis courts. A 16,000 square-foot spa, Jacuzzi, and casino were subsequently slated to open. Considering that room rates are rather high and there are no on-site water sports or other activities, the resort is expensive. Also, drink prices are steep; a mojito, for instance, costs $15.

Is Nikki Beach Turks & Caicos Right for You?:

If you’re looking for a hip, design-forward hideaway with tranquil waters, large accommodations, and the cool cachet of the Nikki Beach nightclub brand, the resort may be a good fit. Those desiring a more traditional resort with loads of on-site activities will not find it here (although the resort can arrange a variety of excursions including snorkeling, jet skiing, and kayaking). To feel like one of the celebrity visitors (who have included Denzel Washington and Michael Douglas and Catherine-Zeta Jones), rent a VIP overwater cabana with a private sound system and let the music and the soft breezes wash over you.

How to Reach Nikki Beach Resort Turks & Caicos by Air:

Visitors fly into Providenciales International Airport, where nonstop flights from many North American cities — including Miami, New York, Charlotte, Atlanta, Boston, and Philadelphia — land. The airport is a 20-minute drive from the resort. Nikki Beach provides free shuttle service to and from the airport in a Cadillac limousine or black Mercedes party bus.
