When travelers refer to five-star hotels in the United States, they mean one thing: Hotels that have been awarded five-star status by Mobil Travel Guide inspectors.
The 2005 list of five-star hotels didn't change much from 2004... with one exception. The state of Hawaii, and the island of Maui, can proudly point to having a 5-star hotel to call their own.
