What to Expect at the Sheraton Tahiti : Originally built in 1960 on the former estate where Tahitian Princess Takau Pomare once reigned, the Sheraton Hotel Tahiti was completely rebuilt in July 1999 with Polynesian-style architecture, including thatched roofs.

While it has only a small beach, it offers ocean views as well as a pool and hot tub. The Sheraton Hotel Tahiti is located near Papeete, making it easy to visit the downtown area’s restaurants and shops.

Guest Rooms at the Sheraton Tahiti : The Sheraton Hotel Tahiti has 200 guest rooms, including 10 suites, with excellent views of the lagoon or the gardens. Aside from the luxurious granite bathrooms, guestrooms are standard hotel rooms with only a few Polynesian touches.
Dining at the Sheraton Tahiti : Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served at the Sheraton Hotel Tahiti’s Moevai Overwater Restaurant, which juts out over the lagoon and offers a lovely view of the island of Moorea. The cuisine is both Polynesian and international. Breakfast specialties include the “Viennoiserie,” croissants and pain au chocolat. The Terrasse patio restaurant is near the pool. Quinn’s Sunset Bar is named for a hangout that was once a Tahitian institution.
Weddings at the Sheraton Tahiti : The Sheraton Hotel Tahiti offers the Traditional Tahitian Wedding Ceremony (Haaipoipo) in its tropical gardens, by the lagoon, with flower leis and crowns, pareos, ukulele and guitar music, and a tapa cloth (palm bark parchment) marriage certificate. A Tahitian priest performs the ceremony. The Royal Wedding Ceremony (Haaipoipo Hui Arii) also includes massages, artificial tattoos, and a special Tahitian name for each couple.
Honeymoons at the Sheraton Tahiti : The Sheraton Hotel Tahiti automatically upgrades honeymoon couples (according to availability), and couples staying three nights or more also receive a complimentary exotic fruit basket. Romantic gifts such as exotic flowers, champagne, or a Pineapple Chocolate Box can be delivered to the room.
Activities at the Sheraton Tahiti : The Sheraton Hotel Tahiti has a swimming pool, an outdoor stone Jacuzzi, an extensive fitness center, and the Mandara Spa. The Excursions Desk helps arrange land and water adventures and tours.
Spa at the Sheraton Tahiti : Mandara Spa at the Sheraton Hotel Tahiti specializes in techniques that incorporate Polynesian traditions and use natural products including honey, lime, papaya, coconut milk, and flowers. Honeymooners may enjoy a Time for Two Massage, an aromatic side-by-side massage. Afterward, they can relax in a private Jacuzzi infused with Tahitian aromas.
What does the Sheraton Tahiti Look Like? : The Sheraton Hotel Tahiti’s lobby conveys a true Polynesian feeling, with its thatched hut décor and a canoe hanging from the car port. The gardens are lush and the views of Moorea, across the lagoon, are spectacular.
Is the Sheraton Tahiti Right for You? : Visitors looking for a beach experience on Tahiti may be disappointed in the Sheraton Hotel Tahiti’s small beach. But the hotel is conveniently located near Papeete and Tahiti’s airport, Faa’a International Airport.
