Caneel Bay has several on-site dining options. Turtle Bay Estate House, the resorts most elegant restaurant, is located in an 18th-century plantation house. The cuisine is creative American.
Afternoon tea and evening cocktails are served on the Verandah, which captures the feeling of the past. During high season, breakfast and lunch buffets are also served at Turtle Bay.
The building additionally houses the Wine Room, which seats up to 10. A seven-course prix-fixe menu is served. The wine list has 265 choices, and the facility includes the Caribbeans only fully operational, temperature-controlled wine room, with over 1,000 bottles of wine.
The Equator, perched on a hill amidst the sugar plantation ruins, offers breathtaking views of Caneel Bay and, at night, the lights of St. Thomas. The restaurant features eclectic cuisine, with an emphasis on seafood.
The open-air Caneel Beach Terrace, adjacent to the lobby and fronting the beach, serves buffet breakfast and lunch. The restaurant also hosts a weekly Grand Buffet for dinner. Just a few steps away is the Caneel Bay Bar.
For a particularly romantic experience, honeymoon couples can dine by candlelight on a secluded beach. They can also opt for Dinner in the Ruins, sitting at a private table for two amidst sugar plantation ruins.
