The Buccaneer, which sprawls across 340 waterside acres on eastern St. Croix, was named one of the 500 Best Hotels in the World in the Travel & Leisure Readers’ Poll and Condé Nast Traveler dubs it one of the World's Top Fifty Tropical Resorts.

Elegant yet welcoming, this family-run operation was founded in the 1600’s, making it the longest running resort in the Caribbean.

Guests feel comfortable from the moment they arrive, when they are greeted with rum punch and a newsletter containing information about the hotel. The view from the open-air lobby, which overlooks the resort and the water beyond, is breathtaking. The grounds are manicured, the buildings are spotless, and the staff is helpful and friendly.

The property includes three beautiful white-sand beaches, two swimming pools, golf, tennis, four restaurants, a spa and fitness center, and daily activities so guests can enjoy a glorious honeymoon without leaving the grounds.

The breezy open-air lobby offers a pleasant place to linger, and the accommodations are huge and luxurious.

The property includes an 18th-century sugar mill, which is popular for weddings and the site of a weekly cocktail party with steel drum music and other entertainment. On-site transportation is provided throughout the resort via van or golf cart.
