String Quartet in Salamanca

Music can be found in unexpected places.

Our favorite moment in Salamanca came quite by accident.

As we walked up a small hill back to our hotel one afternoon, we saw a group gathered. Approaching, we heard music coming from a courtyard.

There, in an archway before a set of ascending stairs, was a string quartet. This was one of the several performances by professional musicians scheduled throughout the city. The acoustics were perfect, the setting ideal, the sky a cloudless blue, and the music beautiful.
