The resort’s Spa Samadhi is a hushed oasis of serenity and healing in a historic adobe lined with art. Here, guests can undergo traditional massage and hydrating facials.
The aromatheraputic angle is stressed, which means that everything smells wonderful. Some of Sunrise Springs’ garden-grown herbs are used in spa treatments. Products used are made by Naturopathica, whose Thai Herbal Body Lotion, a couples’ favorite, is sold in the spa shop.
Spa Samadhi clients may choose classic spa services or Santa Fe-style alternative treatments from the spa’s “transformative menu.” These experiences include a “Medicine Helper” session with a Native American medicine woman who is also a licensed massage therapist.
Other unusual treatment options range from Holographic Therapy that includes breath work and chakra reading to Sound Healing accomplished with tuning forks placed on acupressure points.
Couples’ treatments include various simultaneous massages which can be performed in the couple’s casita.
All spa patrons are treated to fruit and tea and have use of the resort’s hand-built stone sauna and two outdoor hot tubs overlooking the pond.
