La Posada de Santa Fe Resort & Spa is a member of the RockResorts family of hotels. It incorporates the 1822 Staab mansion, which now houses the lobby, award-winning Fuego restaurant, bars, and private dining rooms. Avanyu Spa is on the premises.

Guest Rooms at La Posada de Santa Fe Resort & Spa :
Accommodations are quiet, private adobe cottages called casitas. Elegant casita rooms and suites have wood-beamed ceilings, hand-carved Southwestern furniture, wrought-iron details, leather couches, kiva fireplaces, fine linens, patios, minibars, original artwork, safes and at least one TV.

Pathways are heavily shaded and romantically lit. La Posada features a café, bar, fitness center and spa. A resort fee covers valet parking, tips, and Internet use.

Dining at La Posada de Santa Fe Resort & Spa :
The hotel's romantic Fuego restaurant is on every “top five in Santa Fe” list. Dazzlingly inventive chef Rahm Fama, a Santa Fe native, creates food that is never boring. Fuego’s wine list is outstanding and the cheese selection New Mexico’s best.

You may dine indoors or out. Casual fare is offered at Staab House, whose bar is a favorite local watering hole. In warm weather, snacks and light meals are served at the Avanyu Poolside Grill. Room service is available.

Weddings at La Posada de Santa Fe Resort & Spa :
With its estate-like setting and elegant Staab House mansion, the resort is an inspired wedding venue. Couples holding receptions at La Posada are offered a free honeymoon at any RockResorts property and may also qualify for a La Posada honeymoon suite on the house; see details on the hotel website.

Wedding guests get significantly discounted room rates. The Staab House, Fuego, outdoor fountain and patios provide photo variety, and good food is assured by La Posada’s acclaimed kitchen.

Romantic Getaways at La Posada de Santa Fe Resort & Spa:
A range of quiet, luxurious suites in romantic adobe “casita” cottages makes La Posada de Santa Fe Resort & Spa a memorable setting for a Santa Fe honeymoon or getaway. Special touches for I-doers include a welcome basket, flowers, Champagne, and chocolate-dipped strawberries.

Seasonal romance packages for two or more nights entice with perks like a candle-lit dinner for two at Fuego restaurant and a double massage at Avanyu Spa. Check the hotel Web site for specials.

Spa at La Posada de Santa Fe Resort & Spa:
Avanyu Spa, renovated in 2005, provides relaxation and therapy to guests and Santa Feans alike. Changing rooms offer lockers and a sauna and eucalyptus steam room. A spa boutique stocks hard-to-find bath and beauty products.

Services relax and rehydrate face and body with indigenous ingredients such as agave and sage. Massages are expertly done. Couples can opt for simultaneous massages or a massage lesson. Overnight and day packages are offered.

Nearby La Posada de Santa Fe Resort & Spa :
This resort is in the center of atmospheric Santa Fe, the country’s oldest state capital. Walk to Santa Fe’s superior restaurants and museums (don’t miss the Georgia O’Keeffe). Fine shops selling Southwestern landscape paintings, Navajo rugs, turquoise jewelry, and Pueblo pottery line the nearby Plaza.

Canyon Road’s art galleries are a block away. So is the Gothic-style St. Francis Cathedral erected by Archbishop Lamy. Magnificent hiking and biking trails are minutes from town.

Is La Posada de Santa Fe Resort & Spa Right for You? :
If you prefer cottage-style accommodations to conventional rooms, you’ll like La Posada’s casita lodgings. They are very private in fact and in feeling. Although La Posada is right in Santa Fe, it feels secluded, and overall offers romance and relaxation rather than a plugged-in urban mood.

Gourmets will appreciate the resort’s award-winning Fuego restaurant, and spa mavens will like Avanyu.
