There’s an extra deep soaking tub in the bathroom… but no bath salts or bubble bath to fully indulge — and towels were as small and thin as a Holiday Inn’s.
Further, our room had a dank and musty smell. To counteract it, we felt the need to visit a nearby shop and buy a scented candle.
Another problem: Internet connectivity was intermittent.
The lapses were regrettable, as we’ve always loved Four Seasons; the Budapest property, a veritable palace, is a place of unique beauty that boasts the city’s best location.
The Four Seasons Prague hotel offers the epitome of service along with Michelin-starred cuisine.
The San Francisco property may be coasting on the brand's otherwise sterling reputation. We encountered an irritable assistant manager who shocked us by not only refusing what we considered a reasonable request but reprimanding us for asking. A bellman claimed he would not be able to provide change for a small bill. Other employees are uniformly polite and accommodating, if not warm or particularly friendly.
