Sandals Resorts, which has long offered a free, basic destination wedding to guests who book six nights or more, has kicked it up a notch by partnering with Martha Stewart, the home entertaining guru and publisher of the eponymous Martha Stewart Weddings (compare prices) magazine.
Martha Stewart applies her taste and design sense to ceremony and reception spaces. She and her team have conceived six romantic themes for outdoor weddings with coordinated color palettes. Elements include decor, bouquets, invitations, cakes, and favors.
The most basic of these themes, "Beautiful Beginnings", is free to couples who stay six nights at Sandals. Cost for a Martha Stewart Wedding for those who can't linger that long or want to upgrade starts at around $1,500; ample add-ons (color-coordinated parasols and a candy buffet, anyone?) can further enhance an event.
