Dorchester Tea

Guests at The Dorchester in London expect -- and receive -- the very best service.

  • He who hesitates doesn’t get to sit on the banquette.

  • Book early. Two weeks is not too far in advance to call for reservations at a top restaurant.

  • If you must try a hot place immediately, be flexible about your party’s meal time.

  • If budget is a concern, spring for lunch instead of dinner.

  • Often regret not ordering something different? Try a tasting menu.

  • If you don’t like the food, tell the waiter why. A fine restaurant will make every effort to please.

  • Have to cancel a reservation? As a courtesy, call if you cannot honor it.

  • If you can’t get your waiter’s attention during the meal, you certainly can when you leave the tip.
