Villa Ganz

From

(c) Villa Ganz.
What to Expect at Villa Ganz:
A traditional, early 20th-century residence-turned-hotel, Villa Ganz is tucked into a hip neighborhood of Guadalajara with excellent shopping and dining within a few blocks.

The Villa is built around a courtyard garden with an outdoor fireplace and sitting area. The property is associated with Mexico Boutique Hotels, a collection of small properties throughout Mexico distinguished by their intimacy, idyllic settings, highly personalized service, and individual style.

Guest Rooms at Villa Ganz:
The hotel has hand-picked decor in each of its 10 luxury suites, including duvets from Switzerland, local antiques, and fine art. The result is understated elegance with old-world charm. There is cable TV in each suite and Internet accessibility. Bathrooms have tiled walls and floors, plush towels, European amenities, plenty of hot water, and good water pressure.
Dining at Villa Ganz:
Breakfast is included and will be served in your room or in the sweet courtyard garden. If you choose to eat lunch or dinner at Villa Ganz, there is a chef on call who can prepare a gourmet meal. Specialties include warm shrimp and portobello mushroom salad, duck breast with dried-fruit salsa, and pear pie with almonds. The outdoor dining space is complete with a fireplace, cozy couches, and a pile of Mexican blankets to wrap up in.
Weddings at Villa Ganz:
Villa Ganz can accommodate a small group of up to 30 for dinner and a civil wedding, or 100 persons for cocktails and a wedding.
Honeymoon at Villa Ganz:
Villa Ganz has four romantically decorated suites for honeymooners. If a couple so desires, the owner can arrange transportation to and from a day spa.
Nearby Villa Ganz:
Villa Ganz is within walking distance of restaurants and shopping. The center of Guadalajara, a fun city to explore on foot, is close by. Guadalajara is a cultural mecca with museums, historical plazas, theaters, outdoor local craft malls, restaurants, bars, and high-end boutiques. Proprietor Sally Rangel, who has owned a modeling agency in Guadalajara for 12 years, can tell you where to shop for antiques or shoes, where to dine on sushi or salsa, and even where to get your hair done.
Who Should Avoid Villa Ganz?:
There is no pool, gym, children's facilities, or restaurant on site. Couples who want those amenities ought to look for lodging elsewhere. (Children over the age of 12 may share room #14 with two adults, as it has a sofa bed.)
Is Villa Ganz Right for You? :
If you appreciate an intimate hotel that is close to a city well worth exploring, you will like Villa Ganz.
