The spa at Mount Airy is sprawling and immaculate. After checking in and filling out some basic paperwork, guests are led into well-equipped changing rooms. Lockers with keycodes are available to store belongings. Sizable showers are stocked with bath products. Vanity areas contain all manner of toiletries from cotton balls and mouthwash to hair spray and deodorant.
Men and women are separated in the Spa lobby and led to separate areas to change into robes and to use showers or a steam before and after treatments.
For couples massages, men and women are later reunited in the massage room. At the beginning of treatment, we were given a choice of fragrant essential oils, which the massage therapists applied to their wrists during treatment. The oils they used for massage were unscented.
The service in the spa, as in almost all other areas of the property, is thoughtful, friendly and thorough. The massage therapists are skilled and create a very comfortable, entirely relaxing experience.
Golf
The property boasts an 18-hole championship golf course. We were not able to sample the course, as we visited in the off-season. We did spot several well-groomed ponds, and a nice tree-lined thoroughfare. Golf facilities include a pro shop, professional instruction and caddies.
Nightlife
In addition to gambling, there's a night club, located on the perimeter of the gaming floor. Mount Airy often books big-name talent for its headline attractions. We were lucky enough to enjoy War, and they’ve still got it. When no bands are booked, find a nightclub with DJ, disco ball and full bar.
Other Activities
A 24-hour fitness center is open to guests at no additional charge. The concierge service can assist guests with other services including snowmobiling, hikes and other seasonal Pocono-typical activities.
