An historic hotel built in 1929 and renovated in 1999, the ten-story Ambassador Hotel is considered one of Tulsa's most outstanding architectural structures. Details of the Mediterranean-style edifice, such as limestone cornices and terracotta panels in relief, contribute to this boutique hotel's romantic appearance. There are only seven guest rooms per floor.

The Chalkboard is the Ambassador Hotel's in-house restaurant, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner and also providing wedding catering. Oklahoma magazine says its bar shakes (or stirs) the best martini in the state. In the heart of cattle country, the Chalkboard offers a variety of beef dishes, including its original Beef Wellington. Fish, chicken, and pasta are also on the menu.
