Activities at Hilton Hawaiian Village

Much like a self-contained city, Hilton Hawaiian Village has a multitude of activities to engage adults and children. A daily calendar of events lists the many choices, ranging from learning Hawaiian lei-making to snorkeling lessons to feeding the penguins, turtles, and koi that live on the property.

There are four swimming pools including a dedicated kid's pool (to some guests' dismay, they're not banned from the other three) and a large superpool. The other pools are relatively small and sometimes crowded.

But if you came to Hawaii for the beaches, the private one fronting Hilton Hawaiian Village is set off from the more crowded public beach on Waikiki. It does lack the color and polyglot nature of famous Waikiki with its legendary surfers.

The hotel also includes two minigolf courses, a fitness center with free classes and equipment, and watersports equipment rentals. Its year-round children's program, considered one of the best on Waikiki, serves as a reminder to childfree guests that this is a family resort.

Shoppers can browse in close to 100 shops on the premises of Hilton Hawaiian Village, and there are free nightly shows, many of which highlight the traditions, dance, and music of Hawaii.

Beyond Hilton Hawaiian Village
It would be a shame to visit Honolulu and not explore the rest of the island. Even if you don't plan on island-hopping these are worthwhile excursions: Top Honolulu Sightseeing Tours & Activities.
