Built above- and underground, with an extraordinary grotto-like swimming pool, the spa at Grove Park Inn has won numerous accolades.

I tried to experience it for myself. Not being a spa-goer, I was put off by the extensive questionnaire the young front desk staff insisted I sign before entering for a pedicure. Daunted and annoyed, I left.
