All accommodations at El Monte Sagrado are suites, and all 84 are beautifully designed in different styles.

Native American suites are done in authentic Western design, with hand-finished wood furniture and a blissfully soft leather couch. Decorative details include fine Navajo rugs, historic photos, and wrought-iron lamps.

Casita cottages offer a similar designer cowboy look and a high degree of privacy.

Premiere and Global suites possess artwork and furniture handcrafted in different regions of the world. Guests may choose from Tibet, Bali, Japan, China, Egypt, Morocco, Marrakesh, Spain, Argentina, Mexico, Texas (yes, Texas) and the Kama Sutra suite, whose door is apt to display a “Do Not Disturb” sign.

Room features of all El Monte Sagrado digs include a working kiva fireplace, two TVs, king bed, several phones, fridge, minibar, coffeemaker, bottled water, safe, desk, capacious closet and ample drawer space.

Huge all-stone bathrooms boast an enormous, glass-enclosed shower-tub, plenty of counters, lighted makeup mirror and hairdryer. Robes, towels and even slippers are plush. Every suite has an ample patio or terrace with an appealing view.

El Monte Sagrado is intelligently laid out and feels neither cramped nor sprawling. No suite is more than a couple of minutes’ walk from the main building, fitness room or spa.

Parking is extra and and on a valet or self-park basis. A resort fee covers amenities like the 24-hour gym and computer stations.
