Perched like a luxury liner on a hilltop overlooking the harbor, Wentworth by the Sea welcomes wayfarers and wedding parties alike.
Originally built in 1874, she was abandoned many years later and fell into disrepair.
Bought by a local management company in 2003 and operated under the Marriott flag, Wentworth by the Sea underwent a $30 million renovation to recapture her former grandeur. The work included a new spa and indoor pool, wedding wing, and improved guest bathrooms.
The grounds of Wentworth by the Sea are beautifully landscaped, a symphony of flowers and fragrance that provide a lovely setting for a romantic stroll. White-washed gazebos, large enough to hold a small wedding party, dot the property.
