2010 marks the first year the Mobil Travel Guide became known as the Forbes Travel Guide. So the 2010 hotel, restaurant, and spa winners of the prestigious 5-Star Award now bear the Forbes, rather than the Mobil, name.
Like those of its predecessor, Forbes Travel ratings are based on evaluations of some 500 attributes and only a few hotels and restaurants are deemed worthy of the highest rating, five stars. These set the standard for lodging:
