Visitors who fantasize about a wide beach with soft sand will be disappointed.
Huge sandbags ("whales") are spread along the beach to prevent erosion, and some visitors find them unsightly, choosing to swim in the pools and avoid walks on the sand altogether.
Guests have use of paddleboats and kayaks, but there is no windsurfing or catamarans available at the beach.
Out of the water guests can loll in beach beds, hammocks, and private cabanas with king-size four-poster beds that feature oversize pillows and retractable drapes. Note that there is some competition for the latter, and couples often wake up early to claim theirs.
