The Marquis is set midway between the two towns that comprise Los Cabos.

American-developed Cabo San Lucas swarms with jello shooters and street hawkers of fake silver jewelry; it may be guiltlessly avoided. On the other mano, San José del Cabo is a charming Mexican village well worth exploring. Go in mid-afternoon, visit the boutiques and galleries, compare the restaurants and make a dinner reservation. Then take in the sunset at a café-bar overlooking the town plaza and church.

Outstanding Recreational Opportunities Near Marquis Los Cabos
Baja California is one of the planet’s prime sites for whale-watching, a majestic sight that occurs from December to April. Baja is also known as the “marlin capital of the world.” Most fishing today is humane catch-and-release.

The Marquis is situated between two of golf-crazy Los Cabos’ best links, the Robert Trent Jones-designed Cabo Real and the Jack Nicklaus-created Cabo del Sol. Other outdoor options include sailing, kayaking, hiking, horseback riding and in-pool “dolphin encounters.”
