Tropica specializes in fresh island seafood and grilled fare. Favorite dishes have a Hawaiian spin, such as Pacific bouillabaisse with Kona lobster, local fish, clams, mussels, scallops, shrimp, saffron potato aioli, and focaccia crostini. The menu includes wine recommendations for each dish.
The restaurant has a limited group of special ocean-view seats lining the front. Guests who want the most romantic spot in the house should book ahead.
For simple yet delicious food served all day, Ono Bar and Grill is an excellent and convenient choice. Ono (which means tasty) has outdoor dining by the resort's aquatic playground. For breakfast, guests are welcome to request tables in Tropica's seating area, which has a quieter atmosphere.
The breakfast buffet has traditional options along with Asian choices such as miso soup, and selections focus on healthy items like fresh fruit salads, smoothies, and nutritionally balanced omelets and wraps.
Salads, flatbreads, pizzas, and more substantial items are available at lunch. Dinner options include surf and turf entrees along with Hawaiian-style tapas, such as ahi tuna poke with a twist of fennel and lemon edamame guacamole and Kalua pork sliders with ginger pickled cabbage and pineapple BBQ sauce.
More evening nibbles are at the Moonlight Bar by the pool, where guests may sample pupus while drinking cocktails. The resort also hosts a Wailele Polynesian Luau on select days, where a traditional meal with four courses is served family style to music and a fire knife dance.
