The Taj occupies the site of the former Ritz-Carlton, a Boston institution for weddings, formal events, and business travelers since 1927. In its current incarnation, it offers both classic amenities like wood-burning fireplaces in select suites and newer romantic touches like bath menus and in-room dining.
As nice as these perks are, however, our favorite thing about our experience at the Taj was definitely the service. There was a mistake with our reservation, and three people immediately sprang into action to find us accommodations, apologizing all the while in a way that made us want to take a Taj Hotel employee class in people management. It was as close as we'll ever get to being a Boston Brahmin, and it was frankly pretty awesome.
