Campobello

Eleanor and Franklin Roosevelt, fifth cousins, were married in 1905. The Visitor Center at Campobello features a short video about the family and the residence. In addition, there is a photo exhibit of treasured moments of the Roosevelt family.

Franklin Roosevelt was elected President of the United States in 1932 and was returned to office by voters for four terms.

An activist First Lady, Eleanor Roosevelt was beloved by the American people and continued in the public eye after President Roosevelt died in 1945.
