Wynn Las Vegas is built on the site of the old Desert Inn hotel, which featured one of Las Vegas' favorite golf courses. In its day, it was a Rat Pack hangout. Last rounds were played in December 2001.
The new golf course at Wynn Las Vegas, exclusively for guests, is a par-70, 7,042-yard expanse.
A collaboration between Steve Wynn and Tom Fazio, the Wynn Las Vegas Golf Course includes a traditional club house with lounge, locker rooms for men and women, a pro shop, practice area, and caddy service.
To add dimension and elevation to the golf course at Wynn Las Vegas, more than 800,000 cubic yards of flat desert earth were moved and sculpted. About 1,200 trees were relocated from the old Desert Inn Golf Course, some of which were more than 50 years old and stood taller than 60 feet.
The 37-foot-tall waterfall (pictured at center) is the focal point of the 18th hole at the Wynn Las Vegas golf course. Bob Stupak's Stratosphere casino hotel can be seen in the distance above it.
