The powdery beach at Sandals Dunns River is pretty and well kempt and the water is clear clear and calm. Yet there are a few drawbacks. It is not a particularly long beach. During part of the day the staff sets up a large speaker and blasts music. Also, a chain link fence separates the beach from a local market peopled by aggressive vendors. Some visitors report sellers following them into the water to convince them to buy something.
