Like most resorts, Sandals Royal Plantation has a tiered system of accommodations. At the top of the line is its three-bedroom Villa Plantana. Its 3,000 square feet include a private pool and the services of a personal butler and chef. For most couples, Villa Plantana would be far too much space and expense.
The 1,500 square-foot Governor General Oceanfront Suite at Sandals Royal Plantation is just right, though. It offers glorious views of the ocean from the bedroom and two balconies.
Guests enter via a marble checkerboard foyer and pass a fully stocked wet bar and into a spacious living room furnished with antique Jamaican furniture and a large-screen TV.
There is also an indoor dining area and balcony with panoramic views of the Caribbean Sea that has a large outdoor dining table and lounge area.
The master bedroom contains a king size four-poster mahogany bed, large-screen TV, and patio of its own.
