What to Expect at Villa Feltrinelli

Reminiscent of a Venetian palazzo, Villa Feltrinelli's exterior is painted in gold and terra cotta and the façade features large windows and castle-like turrets.

A beautifully restored and updated 1892 mansion, Villa Feltrinelli stands at the edge of Lake Garda, one of the deepest and most pristine lakes in all of Europe.

Originally the home of the Feltrinelli family — once Italy's richest — this luxurious property has been welcoming guests since 2001. The season extends from April to October.

Located in the Lombardy region of northern Italy, Villa Feltrinelli is outside Salo, a small town. The larger cities of Brescia and Bergamo are 45 minutes away; Milan (search for a flight) and Venice (search for a flight) are both two-hour drives from the Villa.

The Villa itself contains 13 exquisite guest rooms as well as several guest houses on the property. There is also an intimate Boat House on the shore of Lake Garda; it has an outdoor patio and a bedroom on the second floor with an terrace overlooking the water.

Eight acres of landscaped grounds in this sylvan setting are planted with olive, orange, and magnolia trees. Ancient oak and cypress tree surround the Villa.
