Beyond a stand of mangrove trees, the wide, three-mile-long beach at The Ritz Carlton, Naples appears.

Here guests can laze in the sun, attended by staff who organize their lounge chairs, provide towels, set up umbrellas, and serve cool drinks.

Beach activities include windsurfing, sand castle-building, and kayaking, but no motorized sports to disturb other guests.

It's a tradition at The Ritz Carlton, Naples to return to the beach to celebrate the sunset. One of the hotel's restaurants, Gumbo Limbo, is located beside the boardwalk and every day a different patron is invited to ring its bell to herald the arrival of sunset.
