The magnificent paintings on the ceilings of the 200-foot long main lobby and first-floor public rooms were inspired by the Great Hall of the Palazzo Carega (circa 1560) in Genoa and completed in 1925 by artisans brought from Italy.

Over the years The Breakers has invested millions of dollars in updating, upgrading, and refreshing the property without losing its unique charm.

Attractive to international as well as domestic guests, The Breakers maintains a 1,800-member staff that is fluent in some 56 languages. The resort prides itself on providing top-level personal service.
