Although hotel architect Jose Luis Ezquerra specializes in Middle Eastern and Mediterranean styles, you’ll find Moorish domes alongside southern Italian towers and marble floors, surrounded by Hawaiian furniture, European-style epic wall murals celebrating Hawaiian past and Japanese statues and bridges.
The effect is a bit disorienting at first, but quickly resolves itself into surprising harmony.
