Surrounded by a black-sand beach, tropical rainforest, and the Rosalie River, it's remote, uncrowded, and pristine. More like the jungle resorts of Central America than the glitzy properties that fill some Caribbean coastlines, there's not much here to do at first glance.
Nature lovers, however, will find a world to explore: Whales and dolphins surround the small island and birders can spot 172 species. Turtles crawl up the black sand beach to nest. Dominica is home to the world's second-largest boiling lake, there's world-class diving and soft adventures on land.
The resort, which caters to guests 14 and older, has a dedicated honeymoon cottage with a private hot tub. And the moon... and the stars... and the sky.
