True to its name, Celebrity Cruises regales passengers with a variety of entertaining programs on its nine large ships. These include lectures by stage and screen stars and shows that bring Broadway pizzazz to the blue seas.

The youngest fleet at sea, Celebrity ships are floating luxury hotels with contemporary amenities. The 2,850-passenger Solstice, the line’s newest, features an entire deck devoted to spa living, and all of the cabins are adult-only. In-room Internet access for laptop-toting guests, martini and coffee bars, a casino, and sophisticated shops add to childfree grown-ups' pleasure.

Eighty-five percent of her staterooms offer a private balcony, and Solstice primarily sails Caribbean and northern European voyages.
