The Little Nells restaurant, Montagna, is considered one of Aspens finest and most romantic eateries.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in this attractive spot that overlooks the pool. The cuisine is extremely creative. Executive Chef Ryan Hardy, who grew up on a farm in Kentucky, specializes in farm house food, putting his own twist on fresh, local ingredients. The restaurants 15,000-bottle wine cellar earned the restaurant Wine Spectators Grand Award.
The bar is packed in the evening and offers unusual cocktails like the Montagna Martini, made with wild apple vodka, elderberry syrup and champagne and served in a sugar rimmed martini glass with a strawberry garnish.
Directly outside Montagna is the Living Room, a casual seating area with comfy couches and a fireplace. Full bar service is available. Guests can also enjoy complimentary morning coffee or with fruit.
The Little Nell operates the Sundeck, a cafeteria 11,200 feet in the air atop Aspen Mountain. Reachable by gondola, it is popular with both skiers and non-skiers. In addition to burgers and pizza, it features tandoori chicken with naan bread, pork and vegetable potstickers, and black bean ginger garlic chicken with soba noodles, as well as a full bar.
