What Could be Improved at the Hotel Jerome

In Spring 2007, the Hotel Jerome underwent a change of ownership. The new owner closed the facility for two months of sprucing up but planned to maintain the same basic look.

At the time of closing, this historical gem had lost some of its luster. Hopefully, the new management will make restoring its charm a top priority – and the shift will be reflected in the overall feel of the property with respect to amenities, service, and staff attitude.

Because the building is old, the walls are thin, and noise from other rooms may be a problem.

Breakfast is exorbitant: a basket of muffins and croissants is $15 and coffee, a full liter, is $10. Lunch is equally overpriced, with a cheeseburger and fries at $18 and a spinach salad at $15. Dinner prices are in line with most other upscale Aspen restaurants.
