Cordillera is located high on the mountain (it stands at 8,300 feet above sea level, and some of the golf courses extend up to 10,000 feet).
Due to the extreme altitude, some visitors may struggle to catch their breath and tire easily at first.
The friendly staff reminds guests to breathe slowly and stay hydrated. To that end, Cordillera provides water bottles in every room that guests may take free of charge.
Guests should also keep in mind that they have to travel elsewhere for some winter sports, such as alpine skiing; a shuttle to Vail and Beaver Creek ski areas is available.
