The area is called the Lawn Club, and it's a unique place to take a breezy stroll or get in a game of bocce.
A portion of the deck is devoted to another cruise-ship first, The Hot Glass Show — live, narrated glassblowing demonstrations provided by glassmakers from the Corning Museum of Glass in New York.
Ranging from short, 20-minute introductory demos to in-depth demonstrations, each Hot Glass Show focuses on particular techniques or cultures appropriate to the current itinerary. For a fee, passengers can take a glassblowing lesson and attempt to create their own masterwork.
Couples mesmerized by the conversion of plain sand into works of art will find an entire gift shop on the ship's Deck 5 devoted to the collection and sale of art glass.
