The Ritz-Carlton Laguna Niguel in a Nutshell

The iconic Ritz-Carlton Laguna Niguel sits atop a one hundred and fifty foot bluff overlooking spectacular stretches of sandy beaches and the vast Pacific Ocean. It’s about a one hour, fifteen minute drive south from Los Angeles or north from San Diego, making it an easy getaway for SoCal locals looking for quick and luxurious escape. But it’s definitely worth a flight, too.

Typically great California weather makes this location a dream destination all year long for both weddings and romantic getaways. We’d been here not long after it opened, back in 1984, and when we returned a few weeks ago we were happy to find the latest in comfort, good food, spa services, and bars.

The Ritz-Carlton Laguna Niguel hotel lobby sets the stage for your arrival. It was designed on a grand scale, with an open and expansive walkway lined with elegant seating areas that are far enough apart for a private chat and large enough for a group. At the far end is a breathtaking view of the Pacific Ocean that will wow even the most jaded Californian.
