In one of Ireland's most cultured cities, the g Hotel is drawing visitors and raves. Phillip Treacy — previously known for creating the extraordinary headpieces (one hesitates to call them hats) for the ladies who lunch at Ascot and environs — has applied his outrageous sense of design to the property.
Spacious guestrooms are posh-modern, with Frette linens, power showers, butler service, LCD TVs and CD/DVD players, plus bathroom products from Etro Milan. There's also an ESPA-branded spa here. So we're willing to overlook the "artwork," decorative portraits of supermodels.
