The Today Throws a Wedding series has been a highlight of the Today Show for the past six years. In 2005, Sarah Raley and Mark Dale were the lucky couple chosen to receive an all-expenses-paid wedding in their hometown of Valley Lee, Maryland.

Throughout the Today Show Throws a Wedding series, viewers vote on the major details of the wedding the couple receives as prizes. In the 2004, the theme was Today Throws a Destination Wedding, and viewers learned how much fun and planning is involved in having a wedding in a faraway location.The Today Show audience and Web voters chose the following for the 2005 winning couple to receive for free:
