What to Expect at the Hyatt Regency Aruba Resort & Casino: The Hyatt Regency Aruba Resort & Casino is the favorite high-rise hotel of many visitors to this island.

Honeymooners and other couples appreciate the Hyatt's wide, clean swath of Palm Beach dotted with straw palapas that offer shade from the island's near-Equatorial sun. Due to the tiered layout, there are many steps to walk although elevators provide access to most areas.
Guest Rooms at the Hyatt Regency Aruba Resort & Casino: When I go to the tropics, I want a
room with good air-conditioning, and the Hyatt Aruba delivers on this with a working thermostat on the wall. Recently installed Grand Beds are sturdy and comfortable and Portico amenities add a touch of class to spacious bathrooms. The French balcony, about a foot deep and too small to hold furniture, is a disappointment, though. How nice it would have been to sit outside in a private space and face the ocean.
Dining at the Hyatt Regency Aruba Resort & Casino: Can love sustain you? The Hyatt Aruba contains many romantic spots for couples to dine: Under a
palapa by the beach... at a private table for two overlooking the lagoon... in the privacy of their own room... in torch-lit Ruinas del Mar restaurant. Yet they may find the quality of fare unequal to the settings. This writer was served dry chicken, fatty grilled steak, iceberg lettuce salad, and tasteless bagels and smoked salmon. Intensely flavorful fruit sorbets are delicious, though.
Weddings at the Hyatt Regency Aruba Resort & Casino: Hyatt Aruba wedding packages include the services of a wedding coordinator who can guide a couple regarding legal fees and obtaining a marriage certificate, arrange for their officiant, and make sure they get the wedding amenities they are entitled to: a two-tier cake, champagne toast, flowers, and a calligraphed certificate as a keepsake. Their room will be upgraded if possible. A "new age" wedding with a vegetarian menu is an option.
Packages at the Hyatt Regency Aruba Resort & Casino: Seasonal multi-day packages are available. For current offers, check the hotel's
site. Romantic dining packages include "Pampered in Paradise," a four-course dinner served at a private table set with candles and set just steps away from the beach. Leave your shoes behind and wiggle your toes in the sand.
Activities at the Hyatt Regency Aruba Resort & Casino: Wide, clean, powder-soft Palm Beach is the main draw here and there's also a three-tiered swimming pool for those who eschew sand.
Red Sail Sports, which has a concession in the Hyatt's lobby, arranges land and water adventures including canoe rentals, snorkel tours, scuba dives, sunset cruises, and other activities where strong SPF protection is a necessity.
What Could be Improved at the Hyatt Regency Aruba Resort & Casino?: It can be noisy (karaoke and ongoing room improvements). With talk of a Ritz-Carlton breaking ground in Aruba, expect more upgrades. Premium channels including HBO are available on in-room TV, but twice the connection failed. Overseas telephone calls from guest rooms to the United States are billed at a steep $3.50 per minute. The business center sells an easy-to-use phone card (.40 per minute), but it can only be used at public phones.
Is the Hyatt Regency Aruba Resort & Casino right for you?: If you like a busy, full-service hotel with a casino, are not foodies, and don't expect complete privacy at the beach or poolside you may enjoy the Hyatt Regency Aruba Resort.
