There are three types of guest rooms at The Royal Palms Resort and Spa, which contains a total of 117 units.

All the rooms have custom furnishings, a minibar, a television, and a wall safe (15" laptops will fit). Wear the guest robes while you connect to high speed or wireless Internet. During and after your shower or bath, enjoy the private label body and hair care products. In the morning, use the in-room coffee maker to tide you over until breakfast. Your stay includes a daily newspaper, and you have several from which to choose.

Plaza rooms are located at the front of the resort (possible road noise there) and each has a large outdoor patio. The patios are not secluded.

Valencia casitas are set at the rear of the resort, farthest from the pool and restaurant, but they have the best views of Camelback Mountain. French doors with wooden shutters lead to secluded outdoor sitting areas, and some have common courtyard seating. Wrought-iron canopy beds and custom hand-painted furniture are part of the decor. Bathrooms are on the small side.

Arcadia deluxe casitas are larger than Valencia casitas, are individually decorated, and have fireplaces, which Plaza rooms and Valencia casitas do not.

In 2006, rates started at $180 per night for a plaza room, with the upper range for a deluxe casita being $560. Summer rates are about half of winter prices.
