Royal Palms Resort and Spa is located in east central Phoenix, near downtown Scottsdale and Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. Two major highways within three miles afford easy access to the rest of the Valley of the Sun.
Yet the moment you enter the palm-tree-lined drive and leave the traffic, noise, and craziness of one of the largest cities in the country behind, Royal Palms Resort and Spa's peace and serenity prevail.
Royal Palms Resort and Spa was built in 1929 as the summer home of a steamship company executive.
In 1997 it was restored and converted into a luxury hideaway.
The sophisticated architecture is a charming blend of Mediterranean and Spanish Colonial styles with Mexican accents. Lush gardens and lawns, palm trees, outdoor fireplaces and sitting areas, fountains, and views of Camelback Mountain all contribute to the romantic ambiance.
Interior colors exude warmth, and feature a variety of brown shades. Russet, sienna, liver, copper, burnt orange, raw umber, sepia, and rust are all represented, creating an old-world European feel.
