The nearest mall is Arizona Mills. It is in Tempe and not Phoenix, but it is less than a mile from the Pointe South Mountain Resort. A shuttle is offered. Arizona Mills has 24 movie theaters and the only IMAX in the greater Phoenix area.
A few favorite stores are Virgin Megastore, Last Call from Neiman Marcus, Mikasa, Etienne Aigner, Rockport, Chico's, and Ann Taylor. This mall is a favorite with teens. It's just a few miles by car to shopping at IKEA, and about 10 miles to the Phoenix Zoo and Desert Botanical Garden.
Both Legacy and Raven golf courses are right down Baseline Road. A few miles farther away, I always enjoy a round of golf at Club West on the south side of South Mountain, and Whirlwind at Wild Horse Pass just a few miles south on I-10.
